This week in WABS! Training moved from Thursday to Tomorrow (2:45 PM at WAIS)

Some key dates for this week:

Tuesday 5/13: Workout up at the fields 2:45-3:45 PM (WAIS)

Thursday 5/15: Weight Training with Coach Alec pending availability.

Looking ahead: I am almost done summer schedule and will be posting soon with workout times and a conditioning program for players to follow at home and when away on vacation. August comes fast!

Schedule and Calendar: Practice times for the season and our schedule up to this point have been posted to the calendar and to the schedule and results section. These are subject to change as teams schedule senior nights and work around weather etc. In addition, we will be adding 3 or 4 independents which have yet to be scheduled. Changes will be made as I receive them and I will post them here and in the calendar.

Happy Mothers Day: Speaking for all of us, we know we would be nowhere without our moms, who have encouraged us, sacrificed for us, cheered for us, counseled us, and just been there for us. Thank you.

Pizza for those who got physicals already!

As a reward for those who jumped and nailed those fall sports physicals last night, awesome job and thank you! Pizza for you today in RM 103 after 11:30 or so – they open at 11:00 AM so I probably can’t get earlier. If you eat A lunch sorry but come by when you can. Limit yourself to one or two slices.

Beautiful Day to Train! Fitness Tracker Loaded

You will find Mr. Stewart’s latest times on the fitness tracker spreadsheet under Team Information on this website. I set a baseline for my shuttle run, 1/2 field sprint, and pushups, and vertical leap today. Not impressive for me yet BUT remember you have to be as fit or fitter than me to make Varsity ON THE COMPOSITE SCORE (that means not necessarily in any particular metric but overall) and I have all summer to train so you better be too!

Middle School Team in Action!

It was fun to have a chance to see the middle school team in action yesterday afternoon. When I left it was 3-0 Wilson. Nice to get to watch some of our upcoming players and Congrats Coach and players! Great start! If anyone has pictures, send them my way and I will get them on the website!

Great Training in the Heat

Great to see our usuals plus some new faces at training yesterday after the meeting. Owen and Steve joined us and both played well. Nate Carpenter showed how strong his nose is blocking a shot with his face and Alex, Owen, Steve P and Steve B all were recognized for their contributions. We talked about being being our own critics and striving always to be better better better each day. Rocco roared us away at the end. Have a great weekend and don’t forget to sign up for physicals next week.
