We are looking to be our best for our post-season action. That means the line-up and tactic that gives our players their best opportunity to help the team win. We will be trying things out over the next few days. Sprout where you are planted and look to earn a start! What are we looking for:
- Good technical ability on the ball and quality off the ball movement
- Ability/leg to switch the field
- Quick movement of the ball – quick decisions (touch pass, touch pass)
- Dangerous runs by midfielders and wingers in addition to the striker. We do not want to be predictable with the ball. Don’t always check – someone check, someone make the run in behind.
- LOUD communication
- Positive constructive body language and commentary
- High intensity and passion
- Quality one-v-one defending (no stabs) and team defending with communication and anticipation.
If everyone looks to bring these things to the team – you will win districts. It is an ATTAINABLE goal but as with all things in life – it depends on YOU! Don’t wait for something/someone else to become perfect for you to be your BEST. And aspiring to be the BEST we can be as all we ask for.
